On September 16, we participated in the Open Construction Site Day for the future Construction Technology Center in Hoyerswerda. There, the WallBot demonstrated its capabilities live. We are developing this construction robotics system together with the Chair of Construction Machinery at TU Dresden. Its purpose is to relieve skilled workers, not replace them.

As soon as the robot began laying bricks on the white interior wall, a dense ring of spectators formed, including many experts. It placed the aerated concrete blocks with millimeter precision and executed each step uniformly and autonomously. In test operation, it managed 2.8 square meters of wall surface per hour, while a bricklayer, according to TU Dresden, achieves about two square meters.

The wall that the WallBot erected there will remain and is part of the expansion of the Technology Center hall. For us, this is a tangible sign that research is transforming into practical results.

Many thanks to everyone who was there and shared in the excitement. We look forward to the next steps.
