In the research project HZwo:Kompressor, we are developing a hydrogen emergency power supply unit together with the Professorship for Alternative Vehicle Drives and the Professorship for Lightweight Structures and Plastics Processing at Chemnitz University of Technology, the ICM e.V., µ-Tec GmbH and CCM GmbH.
The technological core is a state-of-the-art, oil-free and powerful rotary vane compressor, which is used in a portable proton exchange membrane fuel cell system (PEMFC). This innovative system is designed for mobility and sustainability and is intended to provide a reliable, grid-independent emergency power supply in critical applications, such as disaster control or remote areas.
In the cooperation project, Grötschel GmbH is responsible for the development work on roadworthiness, modularity and condition monitoring.
